Barnwood Furniture Information

Each piece of barnwood furniture is made with 90-95% recycled materials. Old barns from the Midwest are taken down and the barnwood is reused. This practice is "green" and good for the environment. When you purchase a piece of reclaimed barnwood furniture, you are helping to contribute to creating a healthier, sustainable environment.

The barnwood furniture is 100% solid wood. All drawer boxes are solid wood, and all case-goods have ball bearing drawer glides. This barnwood furniture is built the old fashioned way and meant to be passed down for generations.

Most of the old barns taken down were constructed with red pine, white pine, ponderosa pine, hemlock, spruce and oak. The species vary, but the incredible patina does not. After 100 to 150 years of natural weathering, all species develop this incredible patina. It is very hard to tell one species from another with this patina.

The big manufactures are trying desperately to make new wood look old using various techniques. Nothing even comes close to Mother Nature’s slow aging process. That is one of the reasons why our line of barnwood furniture has such a warm presence.

Our Barnwood Furniture Finish & Construction are the Difference

We have a five step finish on our barnwood furniture. The finish is the primary difference between our line of barnwood furniture and our competitors'. Look closely at our pictures. The barnwwood’s natural shades blend to create a rich look. This begins with first hand picking barnwood in the same color tones. Our finishing technique then gives the wood a soft, luster while not removing the inherent character. When you see other lines of barnwood furniture, they appear blotchy and rough - they are! You can run your hands over our barnwood furniture, and it is soft to the touch. It is warm and inviting. All case goods have solid wood drawers and heavy duty ball bearing drawer glides. Our barnwood furniture is built to be passed down for generations. Thank you for considering Woodland Creek.

Solid Wood Handles

Our competitors are using leather straps for drawer pulls. Woodland Creek's line has solid wood drawer pulls. Just one of several quality differences between our line of barnwood furniture and our competitors'.

Another Happy Customer...

Hi Rob:
...Now lets get to my furniture that we ordered from your store (Becky). It exceeds all my expectations. It is wonderful and with the slight modifications that Bob the builder recommended, everything turned out just perfect. Everything went as you and Becky said it would. What a concept, you promise a customer something, and it really happens. What a way to run a business. You have a real jewel in BECKY. What a great find you have with her. The way she handled everything and her wonderful voice on the phone, she is the best... We are more that satisfied with you and your furniture store. Please pass along to Bob the builder how very happy we are and what a wonderful job he did.
Many Thanks
Mitch and Peg Shaw

Buying furniture is a process fraught with second and third guesses. Will it look good in my house? Will it arrive damaged? Will it look as good as it does in the showroom? Now fast forward to buying a kitchen table and chairs over the internet from a company miles and miles away and a showroom you will never see. Well, I took the plunge with Woodland Creek. The whole process from the initial contact with customer service (Scott Phillips), to the signed contact was as easy as can be. We were told 6-8 weeks approximate for delivery, and we got an email within 5 weeks stating the set was ready to ship. Marilynn in shipping as very helpful in working with us to solve the only glich in the process (the shipping label came off when delivered to the white glove hub (by the way the white glove service is highly recommended) delaying final delivery by a week. Once here the barnwood table, chairs, and benches were even better than we expected (the photos do not do it justice). One of my best internet purchases. Highly satisfied in the whole process and highly recommended.

Hi Scott,
My furniture arrived yesterday. I must say…..the furniture knocked my socks off! I am so pleased. I was also impressed how it was packaged. Thank you so much. Everything arrived in perfect condition.
Have a great day!
Theresa

We so love our furniture from Woodland Creek and the customer service is excellent. It has made our home so much more beautiful and comfortable. We were very nervous about ordering furniture online and sight unseen. However, the photos and descriptions on their website were awesome and we are happy to report that the pictures do not really do the furniture justice - it actually looks better than the photos and that's saying a lot. The people that they hire to ship and deliver are also top notch. Highly recommend this company - American owned and American made!
